Haiti's Children Team to Plant 100 Trees
Preparations being made for the next team coming in. Teams provide trees to help re-forest and provide food in the communities they work in. 100 trees to be planted by the team. Agronomy students that have learned English go out with the teams and show the community how to plant and take care of the trees so they make it to maturity. 200 Children Receive Dresses and Washcloths from Haiti's Children Donors
Thank you, Trinity Lutheran Church Hustler, Fountain, WI; Chapel on the Hill, Lake Geneva WI; Shepherd of the Lakes, Waupaca, WI; St. Paul Lutheran, Beloit WI; JRS Dist, Racine, WI, for the beautiful dresses for the children, and wash cloths that were sewn, crocheted, and knitted with love. Haiti's Children Inc. Feeds 200 in Simon
Food Distribution today in our community. We made up 200 bags, basically two meals for a family of five. There is no easy way to give out food. Pushing, shoving, lewd comments - it's never enough. We will never understand the desperation and the need. But through the blessings of others we were able to provide food to 200 families in the community. Haiti's Children Inc. Responds to Haiti Earthquake 2010
As you know, Haiti was devastated with a 7.3 earthquake on January 12, 2010. There is not a person here in Haiti that was not affected by the destruction and the loss. Homes and lives were taken in a matter of 40 seconds. Over 200,000 bodies were buried in a mass grave with no identification. Dear friends and prayer warriors, It has been another incredibly blessed year for me in Haiti. I returned a month later than usual this year due to shoulder surgery. The first order of business, was the continued relief efforts after Hurricane Matthew took total rage on the southwest of Haiti: 806,000 people were facing critical food shortages; 90% of some areas were completely destroyed; 100% of farms were washed out; 1000 people died; over 1300 cases of cholera reported;
