“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,
who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
Haiti's Children exists because of the sacrificial efforts of the work teams who come to Haiti to help us build and educate in the communities where we serve. We are always in need of teams, and welcome your church or community group! Currently we are trying to finish our nutrition clinic, which will bring much needed supplements and healthcare to families in the remote mountain regions of Haiti, and ask you to pray about spending a week with us.
We also have many other kinds of individuals and teams join us, doing a variety of work, such as: medical, sponsored students, Vacation Bible School, evangelism, water projects, puppetry and drama, and those distributing school bags.
First, though, some thoughts about coming to Haiti. We appreciate any group that wishes to come, but please remember this is a WORK trip. Team members will get hot, wet, dirty and tired. They will not have internet service, or easy access to baths or showers. There is only a team-orientation; there is no room for individual or personal "missions" or politicking. The focus is entirely on the priorities of the trip; individual needs and personal ideas are subject to the realities of life in Haiti, and the work schedules created by staff and work team leaders. In short, mature, self-controlled, physically fit and positive persons make the best team members!
If you would like to lead a team, or just get more information, please contact director Gladys Mungo at gladynhaiti[at]yahoo[dot]com. We look forward to joining with you to share the love with Haiti's Children!
